Our friend Nicholas Gale, better known as Digital Farm Animals, is a jack of all trades: DJ, record producer, singer, songwriter, and remixer. The musician is from northwest London, where he started making music at 13 after a friend gave him a copy of Fruity Loops, the free music-making production software that he still continues to use religiously today. The eclectic name Digital Farm Animals came from his university room overlooking a farm. As he was writing music and making acid house, he would see tons of pigs running around, thus inspiring his DJ name and visual concepts.
In 2013, he released his debut EP, Bugged Out, which quickly found success and jump started his career. Since then, Digital Farm Animals has added songwriter and producer to his resume, working with the likes of Galantic, will.i.am, R.Kelly, Nelly and Noah Cyrus. Songwriting came naturally, as he enjoys experimenting vocal recordings and writing weird vocal top-lines. To him, writing songs is the center of everything.
He’s found additional success through recent releases, such as “Millionaire” with Cash Cash and Nelly and “Only One” with Sigala. Throughout his career, he’s continued to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, including the legends Dallas Austin and Cedric Gervais. He is now a part of the Delecta family, teaming up with Dallas Austin to co-write and feature in Cedric Gervais’ new, electric single “Touch The Sky”. Take a listen here.
